About your clinic visit

I dilate the pupils of most patients at the first visit, and at subsequent visits if necessary. Therefore, please be aware that you will not be able to drive for between 4 and 6 hours after your appointment because your vision will be somewhat blurred. 

Cataract surgery new appointments and every keratoconus assessment:

Please do not wear your soft contact lenses for one week before the appointment (2 weeks if you use hard contact lenses). Contact lenses will make our measurements inaccurate. 

Please bring a referral letter if you have it.

Old glasses prescriptions if you have them. 

If you have had LASIK, ideally you should bring the corneal curvature measurements and refractions from before and after the LASIK surgery - the LASIK provider should be able to give these to you.
